Board Expansion
In commemoration of Street Project Foundation’s tenth anniversary and due to the need to scale up activities, six industry experts have joined the Board of Directors. (L-R)
Kelechi Olawoyin MCIPM: Kelechi is currently the Head, Human Resources, Administration and Communications at Transport Services Ltd (TSL), Nigeria.
Paul R. Sachs PhD: Paul is the Executive Director for Merakey-Philadelphia, a division of Merakey USA, a multi-state nonprofit organization working with underserved individuals who have mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities.
Rita Ezenwa-Okoro MSc: Rita is the Founder and Lead Visionary of Street Project Foundation. She is also a Communications Expert and a Mandela Washington Fellow.
Tolu Ajayi: Tolu is a highly knowledgeable and awarded creative professional, TV producer and filmmaker. He is currently the Head of Branded Content, Insight Communications Limited.
Ezenwa Okoro: Ezenwa is an Innovation Specialist, Social Justice Advocate and Youth Development Facilitator. He is the Founder of Enugu Youth Enterpreneurship Network and a Mandela Washington Fellow. He is currently the Program Consultant of Street Project Foundation.
Eduvielawhe Olutimayin: Eduvie is a seasoned Program Manager and Administrator. She is also a Partner and Director of Operations, Street Project Foundation.
Wole Oguntokun: Wole is a Playwright, Theatre producer and Artistic Director of Renegade Theatre. He is also a Fellow of the International Society for Performing Artistes(ISPA).
Ugochukwu Enwereji: Ugo is the Head of Broadcast and Operations at WAZOBIA FM, Onitsha and the Special Project manager for Globe Broadcasting and Communications Limited (AIM Group).
The organisation is up to a fresh and progressive start in 2019.
Cross-Cultural Partnerships
Street Project Foundation commenced Cross-Cultural activities with the International and Experiential Education Student Affairs Unit of the New York Institute of Technology.
Introducing… Our New Global Volunteer Consultant
Andres Marquez-Lara is the Founder and Passion Catalyst of Promethean Community LLC, a social enterprise that helps organizations enhance collaboration internally and externally. In 2014 he was named one of the emerging social innovators of the year in North America by Ashoka and American Express. He is a member of Faculty at the Executive Master in Policy Leadership at Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy and he is currently a Volunteer Consultant for all things Global at Street Project Foundation.

Five young people from some of the most poverty-stricken areas in a developing nation. Having not met before, they have one thing in common, a desire not to give in to the unforgiving squalor and heartache they are born into, and which had always created an unending circle trapping the majority of young people born under the same circumstances.

Dividend of the Creative Youth Bootcamp
Here are the success stories of some of our Street Project Ambassadors who attended our three weeks Creative Youth Boot Camp and three months internship/mentoring Program with our Employer Partners in the Creative Field.
SPF Ambassador, Ruby Akubueze stars in the popular MTV Shuga a Television Series. She is also the recipient of the Model Actress of the Year Award at the just concluded 2018 African Model Awards.
SPF Ambassador, Sunday Ozegbe a.k.a Valu founded the Ennovate Dance Group, invented the ‘Ijo Agba’ dance style and won the Felabration 2018 Dance Prize.
SPF Ambassador, Rodiah Lawal secures job at the Society for Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN) as a Dance Tutor for Children. This followed after a one year dance scholarship was secured for her by Street Project Foundation after the 2017 Creative Youth Bootcamp.
SPF Ambassador, Babajide Oyedeji Akinkumi, also known as Giftedmouth has anchored several events and performed on several notable platforms in the comedy industry such as the Glo lafta festival, Lafup live (the circus) and competed at the ninth edition of the prestigious Alibaba Spontaneity competition 2018, emerging 5th position out of over 2000 comedians that contested.
SPF Ambassador, Kelsen Nnaji had his artworks exhibited digitally at the summer show in Shoreditch London, UK in July 2018 and he is billed for another exhibition in the upcoming year.
SPF Ambassador, Abani Blessing Chinaza receives the Girl Hub Africa Meritorious Award for her outstanding and selfless volunteer service towards the upliftment of the Girl Child in Nigeria.
SPF Ambassadors, Ibrahim Akomolafe, Morayo Alarape and Agnes Ukwa, successfully graduated from the Betti-O School of Fashion sponsored by the Industrial Training Fund of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment in collaboration with RuffnTumble. A Scholarship that was secured after their runway exhibition at the 2017 Creative Youth Boot Camp. They received Industrial Machines and other start-up kits from the Lagos State Government to commence their Fashion Business.
SPF Ambassador, Taiwo Adesokan joined the Ijoeasy Historical Arts Company and participated at the African drum festival in April 2018 which consisted of over 20 African countries and 15 Nigerian states. They competed with 70 troupes and were placed 2nd overall and 1st as the best performing upcoming troupe.
MERAKEY Donates Laptops
Merakey a multi-state nonprofit organization working with underserved individuals who have mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities in Philadelphia, USA donated eleven laptops to be used for our capacity building initiatives in Lagos, Nigeria.
