In the heart of Abeokuta, where adire patterns tell stories of creativity and resilience, SPF has begun the ARTvocacy movement, bringing a wave of change. As we introduce ARTvocacy movement, we are empowering the youths of Abeokuta to use their artistic voices for social transformation. This is not just a program; it’s a call to action for the youths of Abeokuta to step into their power and express themselves through art.
Continuing this journey of transformation, SPF is happy to collaborate with some key organisations that share our vision for change:
- Gender Development Initiative (GENDI)
- Beth-Help Foundation
- Youth Savers Future Initiative
- Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD)
Together, we are providing a platform for youth to learn, create, and engage with art that addresses the pressing issues they face. With the event now underway, participants have begun the boot camp that will run from November 11 to December 8, 2024. This boot camp is designed to equip these young artvocates with the skills and inspiration needed to use their craft as a tool for reshaping their communities.
